100 Pushups, week 2

I just finished week two of my hundred pushups training program. I’ve easily doubled the number that I can do already. In fact, I am doing the same amount for my fourth smallest set that I was able to do initially. This is working great.

I started this exercise plan called The Hundred Pushups Training Program. The goal is to work up to being able to do one hundred good form pushups after only six weeks of training. My initial test was pretty feeble. I was only able to do 11 (when I cheat I can usually get out 20). I’m pretty excited about the plan and hopefully I’ll see some great improvements.

Bootcamp Week 1

Many of you know that I am in bootcamp, yes that’s right. Every morning we have to be out there at 5:30am in the cold, wet, dark earth to undergo yet another systematic beating by our instructor. There are no bathrooms, they insist on not feeding us, we don’t get any down time, I can’t even call my family; it’s pretty fierce! We do drills, tests, circuits, push-ups, run…you name it.

Ok so I’m not in REAL bootcamp but a women’s fitness bootcamp. I wanted to finally shed my “baby weight” that was adorned to me as a result of my pregnancy. So we do meet 5 days a week at 5:30 am when it’s still dark out (whilst Patrick and Andrew are still snoring logs).

Anyway this was the first week and I made it! I am a little sore and tattered but I have learned to cope with my Costco-size bottle of IB Profen and plenty of coffee. The workout is pretty much insane but something keeps me coming back for more (besides the oodles of money I paid for the program). Along with it I have drastically altered my diet and am eating natural, healthy foods that are low in calories and sugars. Maybe I will post some of them on here since they are just too yummy to keep hidden.
