The kids from K-4 singing “The Lights on the Tree.” See the kid on the far right dancing and clapping? That’s our boy!

Today we went up to the Peacock Christmas Tree Farm off of Summit Road in the Santa Cruz mountains. This is the place that my family used to cut Christmas Trees when I was a kid, so it is real special to be able to share this with Christine and Andrew. We had a great time running through the trees and finding the perfect tree to cut down. Andrew had fun helping Daddy with the sawing. Then we enjoyed some hot apple cider, tied the tree to the roof, and headed home.
After getting it on the stand and situated in the room we had a great time trimming the tree with lights and ornaments. Christine and I thought it was neat to see how excited Andrew was with the whole process. His face lit up and he kept saying “Christmas! Christmas!” over and over.

Last night’s Sharks game was awesome. It was one of the closest games I’ve seen in a long time. The Sharks and Kings were neck and neck in shots on goal for most of the game (after the Sharks caught up after a flat start). Nabby kept them in it for the whole thing and Jonathan Quick for the Kings played great too. The score was 1-1 at the end of the OT and it went to the shootout where after 5 rounds only Dany Heatley had scored for the Sharks and Michal Handzus for the Kings. Then in the 6th round of the shootout Ryane Clowe, who has struggled all season, scores with a nice backhand followed by Nabokov shutting the door on Jarret Stoll.
The best part of the night though? It was definitely Andrew cracking up our whole section with his squeaky little “Beat LA” chant.
